In the third quarter of 2022, the top cryptocurrency apps on iOS in Kenya exhibited diverse performance trends. Here are the highlights based on Sensor Tower data.

Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting from 321 in late June and peaking at 397 in late August. Active users also followed an upward trajectory, beginning at around 6K at the end of June and reaching over 7K by the end of August.

Sweat Wallet experienced notable growth in its initial weeks post-launch in late August. Weekly downloads surged from 101 to 598 by mid-September. Active users mirrored this trend, rising from under 100 to over 1.3K in the same period before settling at around 1K by the end of September.

StormGain: Crypto Trading App had fluctuating download numbers, with a peak of 430 in early August but then declining to about 52 by late September. Active users increased significantly in early August, reaching 730, before fluctuating and ending the quarter at approximately 593.

Peer - the everything app. showed a spike in weekly downloads in late July, hitting 171, before stabilizing around 25 by the end of September. No active user data was available for this period.

Paxful: Buy Bitcoin & Ethereum maintained steady weekly downloads, ranging between 46 and 78 throughout the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 175 to 206 during the same period.
